Michelin Star Eyewear

RESTAURANT DEMO X VINCENT CATANI
This recent project with Restaurant DEMO has been one of those unexpected ideas that just clicked. It all started when Tommi Tuominen — the legendary Finnish chef and founder of DEMO — posted on LinkedIn looking for an eyewear brand to partner with for a new concept. Someone who knows their eyewear tagged us (shoutout to you, thank you!), and from there, things moved quickly.
I actually met Tommi a while back, so I reached out. We grabbed a meeting, and he walked me through his vision. And let me tell you — it was wild in the best way.
But before I get into all that, let me introduce you to Demo properly.
DEMO opened back in 2003 with a simple but ambitious idea: bring fine dining into a relaxed, laid-back setting while delivering the kind of service you don’t forget. Clearly, they nailed it — in 2007, they earned a Michelin Star and have kept it ever since. That’s no small feat.
Fast forward to October 2024: DEMO leveled up. They opened a brand new space high above Helsinki, complete with panoramic views and floor-to-ceiling windows. When the sun hits just right, the whole place glows. It’s the kind of setting that makes everything — the food, the moment, the view — feel magical.
To add something extra special to the restaurant experience, DEMO will offer their guests Vincent Catani sunglasses during their experience. So while you're sipping wine, soaking in the sunset, and enjoying a sensational meal, you can throw on a pair of VC shades to cut the glare and boost the vibe. And if you fall in love with the look (as many do), you can take a piece of the evening home with you — Michelin Star quality food and eyewear.
Working with a team that values experience and service as much as we do at VC is seriously inspiring. Projects like this remind me why I love what I do — they push me to keep thinking creatively and dream up new ways to make eyewear part of something bigger.
Thank you Tommi, Katariina, Eero and the whole DEMO team
Yours truly
